The dairy enterprise comprises mainly Holstein Types with new introductions of Jersey and Brown Swiss semen. It produces an average of about 45 gals. of

It is a rotational grazing system that revolves around the use of 24 grazing pastures and two overnight pastures. These pastures were planted in 1983 with technical assistance from IICA. As a result of good management, most of the pastures have never been replanted.
Within the milking parlour, 24 cows per hour are milked by a Portable Double Milking Machine. Our trained staff members make certain that the milk produced is of the best quality. In 2003, with support from Partners of the Americas, the German Embassy of Trinidad and Tobago and the CARTF Project, a milk processing plant with a capacity of 500 gallons per day was established. Products produced include pasteurized milk, yogurt, cheese, and paneer.
